Feb. 20th is the 50th anniversary of John Glenn’s first space flight. He was launched in the Friendship 7 and became the first American to orbit the planet….three times to be exact.
Perhaps no other spaceflight — all 4 hours, 55 minutes and 23 seconds of it — has been followed by so many with such paralyzing apprehension.

Hubble found a galaxy that is 13.2 billion light years away, the furthest ever found. The universe is expanding, and the rate is accelerating. That really freaks me out.
